The Airflow Study
Help Test a New Treatment for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
This clinical study is evaluating a new treatment for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
COPD is a common lung disease causing restricted airflow and breathing problems. Symptoms include cough, difficulty breathing, wheezing and tiredness. The condition is not curable. Current treatments focus on symptom control, preventing exacerbations and slowing disease progression. Despite multiple interventions available, a significant proportion of patients will progress to having severe COPD.
In this study, the new treatment being investigated is a bispecific antibody designed to interrupt the biological pathway that leads to COPD.
The purpose of this research study is to test the safety and tolerability of the treatment by comparing it to a placebo.
