Help Test a New Treatment for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD)

This clinical study is evaluating a potential new treatment for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). COPD is a common lung condition that causes restricted airflow and breathing difficulties. Current treatments, such as inhalers and steroids, can help relieve symptoms but do not stop the disease from progressing. As a result, many patients still experience flare-ups and a decline in lung function.

Genetic studies have linked a specific gene to worsening lung function and chronic lung diseases. This study is testing an inhaled drug that uses a molecule to target this gene, with the aim of reducing lung inflammation.

The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of single and multiple doses of the study drug in healthy participants across three parts. Parts 1 and 2 will be conducted in healthy participants, while Part 3 will assess the effects of multiple doses of the study drug in healthy smokers.
