Thank you for booking time to attend a screening or check-in appointment at Linear. Given the increasing awareness of COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions to protect our patients, volunteers, and staff.
In light of recent developments, we want to make you aware of scenarios in which you need to ring to speak to someone from Linear BEFORE attending any appointment:
1. You can attend all Linear sites regardless of your COVID vaccination status.
2. In the last 7 days, have you been informed of being a close contact of a COVID case? You need to follow WA Health advice for close contacts. Please contact Linear after 7 days from when you were a close contact
3. Do you, or anyone else in your household, currently have COVID-19 or are undergoing testing for COVID-19? You need to follow WA Health advice for COVID cases and close contacts. Please contact Linear after you have followed all WA Health advice
4. In the last 24 hours, have you had ONE OR MORE of these symptoms? (fever, chills and night sweats, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, runny nose, loss of sense of smell, loss of sense of taste, change in sense of taste, diarrhoea, vomiting)
- You should get tested for COVID-19
- If the COVID result is negative, ring your GP to discuss your symptoms.
- You can contact Linear again: When your symptoms have resolved, or If your symptoms persist, your GP gives you medical clearance to participate in a clinical trial

Having to miss an appointment at Linear because of the situations described is not a problem and is something we can work with. It is better that you avoid coming to Linear in these situations so you can focus on getting better, and to help minimise the unnecessary spread of any infections. This helps to minimise the risk of infection transmission to other participants, Linear staff, and the general public.
Due to a recent increase in COVID cases if you attend Linear’s B Block clinic you have the option to wear a mask, this is not mandatory.
