COVID-19 Information for Participants

Ensure you read the information below BEFORE attending Linear for your Appointment

Thank you for booking time to attend a screening or check-in appointment at Linear. Given the ongoing COVID-19 cases, we continue to take extra precautions to protect our patients, volunteers, and staff.

We want to make you aware of scenarios in which you need to ring to speak to someone from Linear BEFORE attending any appointment:

1. You can attend all Linear sites regardless of your COVID vaccination status.

2. In the last 24 hours, have you had ONE OR MORE of these symptoms? (fever, chills/sweats, sore throat, cough, runny nose, diarrhoea)

  1. You should get tested for COVID-19
  2. If the COVID result is negative, ring your GP to discuss your symptoms.
  3. You can contact Linear again: When your symptoms have resolved, or If your symptoms persist, your GP gives you medical clearance to participate in a clinical trialĀ

If any of these apply to you, you will need to contact us and speak to someone from Linear before attending your appointment. Please call: 1300 546 327 or book a time for us to call you here.

Having to miss an appointment at Linear because of the situations described is not a problem and is something we can work with. It is better that you avoid coming to Linear in these situations so you can focus on getting better, and to help minimise the unnecessary spread of any infections. This helps to minimise the risk of infection transmission to other participants, Linear staff, and the general public.

At Linear’s B Block clinic, wearing a mask is optional, not mandatory, despite ongoing COVID cases.

As per the government directive please be reminded of the importance of social distancing at all times: DoH physical distancing for Corona Virus
