The Balance Study
Help Test a New Potential
Weight Loss Treatment
This clinical study is evaluating a potential new treatment for weight loss. Obesity is a growing health concern and increases the risk of conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer, and mental health disorders.
The study drug is designed to help regulate appetite, digestion, and blood sugar levels by activating two natural hormones in the body, GLP-1 and GIP. It is given as an injection under the skin and released slowly over time, which may allow for more consistent effects compared to existing treatments.
The study is a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of a single dose in healthy men and women with a BMI of 22–40.
